"Jessie" is a young (1 year old), friendly, playful black labrador retriever. She was rescued with her 5 little sausage puppies. These babies have turned out to be very cute - playful, silly, friendly (just like their mom). They look mostly like black labs, some with slightly thicker hair, some with somewhat stubby tails.
UPDATE: Jessie and all of her puppies have been adopted as of mid June, 2005.

June, 2005 - Thelma and Louise - These cuties are of "indeterminate breed." Louise is some kind of little smooth coated dachshund/terrier mix, they don't come any cuter. Thelma is a rougher coated little girl and looks like a small Australian Shepherd mix. They are approximately 8 weeks old and are available for adoption now. We expect them to mature into smaller dogs, probably between 20-30 lbs at maturity each.
UPDATE: Both Thelma and Louise have been adopted as of mid June, 2005.

JULY 2005 - 4 Dalmatian/Australian Shepherd mix puppies. These puppies were abandonned just after birth (umbilical cords still attached) at a local animal shelter. 3 of the 4 are "special needs" pups as they are deaf. The 4th puppy has normal hearing. All 4 puppies are very sweet and very smart. The deaf puppies will need to be trained with hand gestures instead of just verbal commands but should still become wonderful companions.
UPDATE: As of July 25, 2005, All of these adorable puppies have been adopted
